Self Catering Accommodation in Mid Wales
Welcome to The Wye Valley
Welcome to Cariad Home, self catering holiday accommodation. We offer a two bedroom Milking Parlour and one bedroom Pole Barn on our family farmstead. Refurbished with love to a high quality.
Nestled upon a hill in the stunning Welsh countryside we are home to an abundance of wildlife. There are pheasants pottering about the yard as I type. Swallows nesting in the new pole barn, rare moths and birds in the garden. Hares nest in the long grass above the old barn. It is a genuine retreat from the pace of modern life. The Pole Barn has no tv or internet, so you know when you get here you can truely switch off and revive your senses in the nature of your surroundings.

Things To Do
Howey is the perfect place to stay for your trip to Mid-Wales. We have a beautiful and peaceful base, in easy reach of many well known destinations and tourist attractions. That being said there is plenty of things to do in Llandod!
You can step out of the annex door and walk in any direction over hills and countryside.
We are a short distance from Llandrindod, with its traditional high street, cafes, lake, rock park and victorian architecture and landscaping.
Llandod is home to many events throughout the year. The Radnor Fringe Festival, Cycle Fest, Welsh 2 Day Endure, Victorian Week, Steampunk Weekend, Crystal Healing Conferences, Christmas Fairs, and Food Festivals, to name a few. More information about what is coming up in Llandod can be found by visiting www.llandrindod.co.uk , or by contacting us via the form below.
Builth is just down the road, home of the Royal Welsh Show Ground which hosts a variety of events from World of Wool, the Royal Welsh Show, Winter Festival, to antiques and crystal fairs. More pubs and restaurants can be found along their traditional high street.
Rhayader and The Elan Vally are short drives away. A little further in the car Hay On Wye, Brecon, and Aberystwyth can offer great day trips.
The Heart of Wales Railway runs from Shrewsbury to Swansea and is a lovely way to take in this part of the country.
